What do you get when you play blues riffs in a flat major key and add a heap of gritty, nasty, gin and heroin soaked fuel to the fire? This flas in the pan brilliance of an album. There may be no other album that has as much shear F-you attitude than this. It's blusey, funky and boiled in metal. I still maintain that this was a more important album than Nevermind. It predated it by 4 years and truley had no peer when it was released. Without it Nevermind would never have hit. This album was released at the end of my high school career. A time that I spent listening to heavy metal music. This was like paradise. The fact that it was actually getting airplay dumbfounded us. This wasn't watered down metal like Poison or even Motley Crue. This was real down in the gutter edgy stuff. I remember listening to it in the car with my friends and thinking that this was going to be impossible to follow. This was as good as this genre could possible be. The shear hunger on the album could not be replacated. Unfortunately, I was right.
