As I mentioned before, Jimi will never be one of my favorite artists to listen too. I just can't seem to get into the acid rock thing. I do very much understand and appreciate his skill and impact. He changed how the world looked at the electric guitar and changed what it was capable of. Another thing he did with this album was change what was possible in a recording studio. He moved the art of recording and invented new techniques and created new ways to use old ones. This album does contain 2 of my favorite Jimi tracks: All Along the Watchtower and Voodoo Cild (Slight Return). With Watchtower he reimagined a Bob Dylan song in a way that bested the original. Something that I don't believe that anyone has done before or since.
